Day 1:
Monday 29 April 7pm
We’ll get real about the tantrums, meltdowns, and wobbles and what they are costing the child with additional needs and their family.
Day 2:
Tuesday 30 April 7pm
We’ll look at predicting the unpredictable. Working out whether there’s times when things are more likely to happen for your child and how those situations can be prevented.
Day 3:
Wednesday 1 May 7pm
Knowing what will happen. We’ll explore how we can build things into each day to support your child and build them up and reduce their anxiety.
Day 4:
Thursday 2 May 7pm
Curiouser and curiouser: We’ll be considering a range of tools and approaches that can be used to support children when they are struggling.
Day 5:
Friday 3 May 7pm
The Most Important Thing. It’s probably not what is expected. But we’ll dive into ensuring that the child with additional needs gets the best advocacy and support ever so that they can thrive and move from daily tantrums to reaching their full potential.
Meet Hannah Dennis

Meet Dr. Hannah Dennis - a dedicated mother, compassionate clinical psychologist, and advocate for individuals with intellectual disabilities and neurodivergence. With a heartwarming family of three, two of whom are autistic, she brings a unique perspective to her work and life.
Hannah's passion lies in creating nurturing and inclusive environments for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and neurodivergence, ensuring they have the opportunity to flourish and realize their full potential. With over two decades of experience in the field, Hannah has made a profound impact by providing therapeutic assessments and interventions across various settings, including NHS Community Teams, private residential schools, and homes.
Not just a skilled clinician, Hannah also serves as an expert witness in Family Courts, lending her expertise to ensure that those in need receive the support and services they require. Her dedication extends to the world of sports, as she offers assessments for international classification within Paralympic sport, including the Paralympics, Special Olympics, Swim England, and Sport Excel.
In her commitment to supporting families, Hannah founded the Nurture Space, a vibrant Facebook community that provides invaluable support to over 500 families with children facing intellectual disabilities or neurodivergence. Through her work and advocacy, Dr. Hannah Dennis truly exemplifies the power of compassion, expertise, and dedication in making a positive impact on the lives of those who need it most.
